Deng Fei Foundation hosted a launching event in New York on Tuesday evening, August 14th, 2018 (6pm-9pm). The objective is to introduce the foundation’s work to our American and Chinese colleagues and friends in New York. We would like to build the philanthropic partnerships with American and Chinese companies as well as international foundations. We would also provide a platform for American and Chinese philanthropists, non-profit professionals and college students to come together to share their ideas and experiences in fundraising and volunteerism. We will invite senior United Nations officials, private-sector representatives, and fundraising experts to speak at the event. We hope to inspire Chinese-American community and university students in America to get involved in the philanthropic works and volunteer services to support our mission and to serve the underprivileged, especially children in Africa.
The event will start with brief remarks of guest speakers, followed by music performance from the Juilliard School and Chinese high school students. We hope to generate the support from the general public, especially from Chinese students in New York. Part of the proceeds from the event will benefit “ Free Lunch for Children” Program in Africa.
